Chinese Fan Palm

The Chinese Fan Palm or Fountain Palm (Livistona chinensis), is a popular palm known for its drooping, fanlike leaves. Native to southern China, the Chinese Fan Palm does best in tropical climates, Zone 9 and 10, but can withstand mild frost and temperatures in the upper 20s. This slow growing palm can reach up to 25 feet in the right conditions, and if properly maintained, will reveal a slender trunk.
